Ah, you noticed your mentee has completed your check-in via the email sent to you from DistrictZero! Always remember to check your email to know when your mentees complete check-in and for a quick link to provide feedback.
If you want to check the status of check-ins that you still need to provide feedback to, navigate to the ‘Check-in Feedback’ tab using the navigation bar on the left side of the screen.
Upon opening this view, you will see a list of check-ins you still need to read and provide feedback.
To filter through these, utilize the two filter options at the top right of the screen. You can type in specific mentee names using the search bar on the left side of the dropdown on the right to reorganize check-ins.
To properly examine a check-in, click the check-in you’d like to read and/or provide feedback. This will open up the mentee’s responses to the check-in. Thoroughly read through these, and click ‘I have read this check-in’ at the bottom of the section when you have read it.
Next, you can provide feedback to a mentee in various ways. Try suggesting some of DistrictZero’s resources by clicking on ‘Search’ using the navigation bar at the top of this check-in section.
From here, you can suggest resources based on specific categories or use the search feature for your mentee that aligns with their struggles in the check-in. Selecting from DistrictZero’s existing library can save a lot of time searching for resources as a mentor.
Once you find a resource you’d like to suggest to your mentee based on this check-in, click ‘Suggest Resource’ in blue below the video.
By clicking on ‘Custom’ using the navigation bar, you can also suggest your own personal resources from YouTube or files saved on your computer.
To chat with your mentee about this check-in or leave general feedback, navigate to the last tab of the check-in.
You can leave comments regarding the check-in here, and your mentee will be able to react and respond to them if necessary.
Finally, when satisfied that you have adequately reviewed and provided feedback to this check-in, click ‘Mark as complete’ near the top right of the check-in section.
Recently completed check-ins will appear in this ‘Completed Check-ins’ section of the screen below the active ones that still need to be completed, so you can always go back and access them.
